چکیده

This paper seeks to test and to determine a suitable aggregation method to represent a set of rankings made by individual decision makers (DMs). A case study for triage prioritization is used to test the aggregation methods. The triage is a decision-making process with which patients are prioritized according to their medical condition and chance of survival on arrival at the emergency department (ED). There is a lot of subjective decision-making in the process which leads to discrepancies among nurses. Four rank aggregation methods are applied to the prioritization data and then an expert evaluates the results and judges them on practicality and acceptability. The proposed recommendation for preference aggregation is the method of the estimation of utility intervals. Expert opinion is highly valued in a decision-making environment such as this, where experience and intuition are key to successful job performance and outcomes. 2012 Elsevier Ltd. Ethical Patient Prioritization in Disaster Triage: A Protocol for a Systematic Review

Background: Disasters are medically defined as events in which the demands for patients’ care far exceed the available resources. In such situations, triage and rationing of limited resources are inevitable. A decision regarding triage needs not only scientific guidelines but also an ethical framework and supporting policies. This study aims to provide a comprehensive review of the criteria for...

Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation methodology for decision making with a prioritization of criteria

Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs), a generalization of fuzzy sets, is characterized by an interval-valued membership function, an interval-valued non-membership function. The objective of this paper is to deal with criteria aggregation problems using IVIFSs where there exists a prioritization relationship over the criteria.Based on the ${L}$ukasiewicz triangular norm, we first p...

Trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy prioritized aggregation operators and application to multi-attribute decision making

In some multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problems, various relationships among the decision attributes should be considered. This paper investigates the prioritization relationship of attributes in MADM with trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TrIFNs). TrIFNs are a special intuitionistic fuzzy set on a real number set and have the better capability to model ill-known quantities. Fir...

Triage for Legal Requirements

The high cost of non-compliance with laws and regulations that govern software systems makes legal requirements prioritization crucial. In addition, software design, expense, and time constraints all influence how requirements are prioritized. Prioritizing requirements derived from laws and regulations can be untenable using traditional pairwise requirements prioritization techniques because th...

A Comparison of the REMBRANDT System with a New Approach in AHP

Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been criticized considerably for possible rank reversal phenomenon caused by the addition or deletion of an alternative. While in many cases this is a perfectly valid phenomenon, there are also many cases where ranks should be preserved. Our findings indicate that using the geometric mean reduces the variance in ratings substantially; hence, yielding lower i...
